OnePlus 10T 5G has been officially unveiled in global markets, including India. This handset is the company’s latest flagship-grade smartphone, as it comes with some premium features. Although, the handset does miss out on some of the “Pro” level features. But still, the newly launched OnePlus 10T 5G efficiently manages to settle under the premium range segment. The newly launched OnePlus 10T 5G joins the OnePlus 10 Pro and OnePlus 10R 5G under the OnePlus 10 Series.
The all-new OnePlus 10T 5G comes with the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, a 4800mAh battery, 150W SuperVOOC Endurance Edition wired charging solution. Furthermore, the premium smartphone gets a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor. OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 10T in three RAM/ Storage configurations. Here, the top variant features 16GB of RAM. Additionally, the smartphone comes with a new cooling system and battery-related technology for an efficient and safe charging experience.
OnePlus 10T price in India starts at Rs 46999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Another variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB of onboard storage is priced at Rs 54999. The top-end variant of the OnePlus 10T packs 16GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. This top-end variant of the OnePlus 10T comes with a price tag of Rs 55999.
The Chinese smartphone makers have launched the flagship-grade handset in two distinct colorways – Jade Green and Moonstone Black. The newly launched OnePlus 10T 5G is a dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone running on Oxygen OS 12.1 on top of Android 12 OS out of the box. It sports a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ Fluid AMOLED display. This display is based on the Low-temperature Polycrystalline Oxide (LTPO) technology. Furthermore, the display offers a screen resolution of 1080*2412 pixels.
OnePlus offers a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer for display protection on top of the screen. Regarding other display features, the OnePlus 10T 5G offers up to 120Hz screen refresh rate and supports the sRGB color gamut. Additionally, it also has 10-bit Colour depth and HDR10+ certification. The display gets a pixel density of 394 PPI. Furthermore, it offers hardware touch response of up to 360Hz and software touch response of 720Hz.
The flagship-grade OnePlus 10T 5G is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. This processor is the current flagship processor available in the market. The chipset comes along with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Furthermore, the OnePlus 10T 5G comes with up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 dual-lane storage. The internal storage is much faster and offers a snappier experience.
The all-new OnePlus 10T 5G comes with the next-generation 3D Cooling System with a cryovelocity vapor chamber. This vapor chamber is the most extensive cooling system in any OnePlus device. During the OnePlus 10T Keynote event, OnePlus claims that the 8 heat dissipation channels may provide up to double the heat dissipation compared to the traditional vapor chamber on any other smartphone.
Here, the system uses 3D Graphite to offer a claimed 50 percent improved heat dissipation compared to regular graphite. Furthermore, the device also gets the HyperBoost Gaming Engine which provides a much smoother and stable gaming experience. In terms of optics, the latest OnePlus 10T 5G smartphone comes with a triple rear camera setup and a dual-LED flash. The primary 50MP Sony IMX769 sensor comes with an f/1.8 aperture lens. Furthermore, it also offers optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The secondary camera is an 8MP ultra-wide shooter with an f/2.2 aperture lens. It provides a 119.9-degree field of view. Moreover, the third camera is a 2MP macro lens.
This macro lens can click images at 4cm from the subject. For selfies and video calling, the OnePlus 10T 5G carries a 16MP front shooter with an f/2.4 aperture lens. Besides the camera configuration, the OnePlus camera app also gets multiple camera-related features like Night Mode, Portrait Mode, Panorama, and many others.
Regarding connectivity and ports, the OnePlus 10T 5G gets all the necessary connectivity options. These include 5G, 4G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.3, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Similarly, for sensors on board, the OnePlus handset gets an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. Furthermore, for device security, the OnePlus 10T 5G gets an in-display fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock feature.
OnePlus 10T 5G packs a standard 4800mAh dual-cell battery. This handset also gets support for 150W SuperVOOC Endurance Edition wired charging. Interestingly, the Chinese smartphone makers are offering a bigger 160W SuperVOOC power adapter within the retail box. OnePlus claims this power adapter can charge the smartphone from 0 to 100 percent in just 19 minutes.
Besides this, the OnePlus 10T 5G also gets other battery-related features like Smart Battery Health Algorithm, Battery Healing Technology, and VFC Trickle Charging Optimization Algorithm. All these features help to improve efficiency and battery life. Furthermore, a customized smart chip helps in managing the charging speeds. Additionally, the device gets 13 temperature sensors.
For audio experience, the OnePlus 10T 5G is equipped with a dual stereo speaker setup. Dolby Atmos back these speakers. The Chinese smartphone makers recently launched another flagship-grade smartphone in India with the name OnePlus 10T.
Following the previous trend, the company launched another model in the T-Series. As usual, the smartphone with the “T” designation was launched in the mid-year with bits of refreshes and changes. With the release of the OnePlus 10T 5G, there has been much to talk about its features and designs. But the main question is that is the new OnePlus smartphone model capable enough to overtake the other flagship-grade smartphones in this price segment.
The newly launched OnePlus 10T 5G comes in a similar size as the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G. There are very slight changes in the design language of the OnePlus 10T and the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G. With initial looks, I find the outlook of the newly launched OnePlus 10 series smartphone to be impressive. The new OnePlus handset comes with an elegant design. Moreover, the new design reflects the core design of every other T- series smartphone. With softer and curved edges, the OnePlus 10T 5G feels comfortable to hold in hand. The handset does not feel slippery. It feels pretty sturdy and offers an excellent grip when kept tight.
Usually, the OnePlus smartphone comes inside a tall OnePlus Box. This OnePlus 10 series 5G phone gets a pretty standard-designed retail box. The box packaging contains a decent-quality OnePlus protective case and a Red Cable Club membership card. The retail package also includes some OnePlus stickers and a letter from OnePlus in addition to the smartphone.
Besides these, the OnePlus 10T 5G retail box includes the phone itself and a 160W OnePlus original charger. The other box contains a SIM Tray ejector tool and a red USB Type-C cable for charging and data transfer. Looking at the rear camera module, I noticed that the OnePlus 10T 5G resembles a lot with the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G. The rear panel camera module gets slightly bulged on the latest OnePlus 9T 5G smartphone. Compared with the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G, the back panel of the OnePlus 10T 5G looks highly reflective. The glass back is exceptionally glossy and reflective. I don’t recommend using this phone without a protective case. This is because the glass back is more fragile and prone to shattering.
Talking about the physical design, the OnePlus 10T 5G gets the volume rockers on the left, while the power button sits on the right edge as usual. There is no place for an alert slider. A small speaker and a primary microphone are placed on the top edge. The bottom edge gets the dual-SIM tray and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. Furthermore, the primary speaker sits adjacent to the primary microphone.
There is no 3.5mm headphone jack on this OnePlus 10 series 5G smartphone. Wireless charging, an IP certification, and eSIM compatibility are other premium features that OnePlus believe its customers can live without, even at this pricing point. The Hasselblad camera branding has been dropped on the newly launched OnePlus 5G smartphone. Those who expect these features on their smartphone can go for a more premium option of the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G. Overall, the OnePlus 10 T 5G will attract more gamers and those looking for faster charging. This 150W faster charging even comes with the OnePlus 10R.
During the setup process, I noticed multiple privacy and personalization options. We also get the chance to select the system font and even practice the navigation gestures. The newly launched OnePlus 10 series handset comes with a few preloaded apps, including Netflix, the OnePlus community, and a Game Manager. Going to Settings, I find some more personalization options. Unfortunately, as announced recently, the OnePlus 10T 5G ships with OxygenOS 12 instead of OxygenOS 13.
The overall look and feel of the OxygenOS 12 are nearly stock Android. The Chinese smartphone makers have added a few valuable features to make it much more than the usual Vanilla experience. Additionally, the flagship-grade smartphone comes with a few useful gestures. These include swiping up from the bottom to go to the home screen, swiping up from the bottom, and holding to the last app.
Now, the OnePlus 10T comes with the OnePlus Password AutoFill feature, which allows users to autofill saved passwords on their OnePlus device. Furthermore, the password manager securely lets the users save the passwords, which can be accessed on a different device that has Bluetooth enabled.
The all-new OnePlus phone also gets Google’s Smart Unlock feature which allows unlocking the OnePlus device in a trusted environment like a home or office.
The 6.7-inch full-HD+ flexible AMOLED screen offers a peak refresh rate of 120Hz and an embedded fingerprint sensor. The bezels are slim on all the edges. There is no thick chin on the flagship-grade OnePlus smartphone. Furthermore, it also comes with support for HDR10+. Like the OnePlus 10R, this OnePlus smartphone offers a pixel density of 394 PPI.
It gets 88.18% of the screen-to-body ratio. In my experience, the display looks excellent. It offers a punchy color gamut and wide-viewing angles. The only downside I felt is that it has a slower in-display fingerprint scanner than the traditional one.
One of the plus points of the latest OnePlus 10 series 5G phone comes with the top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. A cooling system accompanies this chipset. Furthermore, the latest OnePlus handset comes in pair with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 inbuilt storage. The Chinese smartphone maker claims that over 30 apps can efficiently run in the background on this handset. Furthermore, we can pick up from where we left off on any particular app. Keep in mind that this notification is applicable on the top-end variant.
The primary camera on the latest OnePlus 10T is a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor which comes with optical image stabilization (OIS). Furthermore, this primary sensor comes with an f/1.8 aperture. The secondary camera is pretty primary with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. The third lens is a 2MP macro shooter. Meanwhile, the specifications aren’t that inspiring. But, the OnePlus brand value and the rich details, even in low-lighting conditions, make it a great deal to check out. In low-lighting, the images turn out to be decent, all thanks to the 10-bit color capture support and improved image processing algorithm. The OnePlus 10 T can record up to 4K video at a 60fps frame rate for video recording.
As per my experience, I loved the image quality, and it’s worth a look if you’re not naturally photogenic. The low-light clicks are outstanding, and I obtained a superb 60FPS resolution when capturing films. Overall, it is an ideal camera phone.

The update is now available in India. It brings several improvements, including system and camera optimizations. Earlier this week, OnePlus officially announced the first software update for the OnePlus 10T 5G via the OnePlus community forum.
OnePlus claims that the update improves system stability and fluency while improving startup speed and network stability. The camera’s shooting effect has also been optimized and enhanced the user experience. In addition, an infrequent issue with the camera displaying oddly in particular settings has been resolved.
The OnePlus 10T is a solid phone, maybe a better deal than the OnePlus 10 Pro. Although, the newer handset isn’t a game changer. I did notice some outstanding features like the battery life. But it all relies on your personal preference for the smartphone. I’d suggest this phone to anyone looking for an excellent low-cost gadget with exceptional display quality and software. Regardless, the latest OnePlus phone is a great release worth the money.
