SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. , Aug. 2 , 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- NCPDP announced today the call for proposals for its 2023 Annual Technology & Business Conference, "The Great Race to Close Gaps in Care," which will be held May 8-10, 2023 , at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona . NCPDP's national conference draws more than 700 attendees from across the healthcare industry, including technical, business, and executive representatives from health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, retail and independent pharmacies, specialty pharmacies, long-term care providers, healthcare consultants, technology vendors, pharmaceutical manufacturers, wholesale drug distributors, database management organizations and others.

NCPDP is accepting submissions for two session formats at its 2023 Annual Conference:
Standard Track Sessions are 60-minute sessions, providing for a 45-minute presentation and 15 minutes of question and answer. These sessions are limited to a maximum of two (2) speakers. However, the 2023 Annual Conference Subcommittee will consider more than two speakers/panel discussions if the topic warrants, and the proposal must include a thorough description and detailed information on the session and speakers/panelists (all form fields must be completed).
Rapid-fire, Hot Topic Sessions are 30-minute sessions focused on a high-level overview of an emerging trend. These sessions are designed to be both cutting-edge and highly focused, requiring the presenter to share ideas and achieve learning objectives in 20 minutes, with the remaining 10 minutes open for interactive discussion. These sessions are intended for one speaker, but if the topic warrants, can have a maximum of two (2) speakers.
NCPDP encourages the submission of proposals covering a broad range of educational, informative healthcare and pharmacy topic areas, such as:
Compliance, Accreditation, Government Mandates and Audits, HIPAA
Food and Drug Administration Programs
Impact of Regulatory/Legislative Environment on NCPDP Standards, Membership, Priorities
Pharmacist as Provider, Pharmacist Provided Patient Care
NCPDP encourages presentations that support or tie to the conference theme, wherever possible. Preference will be given to case studies, pilot results and emerging trends. The deadline to submit a proposal is October 4, 2022 .

A digital vulnerability in the computer systems used on some Boeing Co aircraft that could have allowed malicious hackers to modify data and cause pilots to make dangerous miscalculations has been fixed, security researchers said on Friday. Huawei Technologies said on Friday its first-half net profit more than halved as a difficult economy curtailed demand from customers, compounding woes brought by U.S. technology restrictions. Amazon's cash-cow cloud division AWS has launched a new service designed to help companies deploy their own private 5G networks -- eventually, at least. AWS first announced AWS Private 5G in early preview late last year, but it's now officially available to AWS customers starting in its U.S. East (Ohio), U.S. East (N. Virginia), and U.S. West (Oregon) regions, with plans to roll it out internationally "in the near future." "It supports 4G LTE today, and will support 5G in the future, both of which give you a consistent, predictable level of throughput with ultra low latency," AWS chief evangelist Jeff Barr wrote in a blog post.
BEIJING (Reuters) -A hacker claims to have obtained the personal information of 48.5 million users of a COVID health mobile app run by the city of Shanghai, the second claim of a breach of the Chinese financial hub's data in just over a month. The hacker with the username as "XJP" posted an offer to sell the data for $4,000 on the hacker forum Breach Forums on Wednesday. "This DB (database) contains everyone who lives in or visited Shanghai since Suishenma's adoption," XJP said in the post, which originally asked for $4,850 before lowering the price later the same day.
